The Walking Federation of South Australia is the peak body representing bushwalkers in South Australia. There are currently about 40 member clubs and also a number of individual members. We aim to promote walking as a healthy, life-long activity and ensure that walkers have access to areas of high natural and scenic values.

To achieve this we:
  • Develop and maintain trails, such as the Pioneer Womens' Trail,
  • Foster the development of trails within SA such as the Lavender Federation Trail,
  • Promote walkers' interests with Government,
  • Nurture clubs within the state,
  • Provide services, such as sustainability surveys, for Government.
