The Walking Federation of South Australia is the peak body representing bushwalkers in South Australia. There are currently about 40 member clubs and also a number of individual members. We aim to promote walking as a healthy, life-long activity and ensure that walkers have access to areas of high natural and scenic values.
To achieve this we:- Develop and maintain trails, such as the Pioneer Womens' Trail,
- Foster the development of trails within SA such as the Lavender Federation Trail,
- Promote walkers' interests with Government,
- Nurture clubs within the state,
- Provide services, such as sustainability surveys, for Government.
Please visit www.walkingsa.org.au for more information about our activities.
